Default Why's my sword gone crap?

I recently got to EotN (Eye of the North) and my sword has become awful, hitting the noobiest damage you can hit. Before, it was dealing decent damage, so what has happened?

Info about the sword:
Name: Cyndr's Edge (Green)
Slashing damage: 15-22(Requires 9 swordsmanship) - I have that
Damage +15% (While health is above 50%)
Double adrenaline gain (Chance 10%)
Health +30
Damage +20%
Customised

By build he means what skills are you using. Your sword damage sucks mostly because you are fighting higher level enemies with higher armor.

Any decent War has a Swordsmanship/Axe/Hammer of 14 anyway. Read the War sticky for builds and stuff.

You're meeting the requirement of your sword, right?

Regardless of armor level, if you're a lower level then you'll do less damage. EotN has that scaling thing for <lvl 20 people so I'm not sure if it calculates damage as if you were a lvl 20 or not.

Btw, you mentioned you were /Monk, so if you have any useless defensive crap on your bar then lose it and get some half decent attack skills.

Yes, you will hit better anyways, the damage is partially based on level.

Two items to look at:

1. Make sure your character is level 20
2. Make sure your Swordsmanship attribute is at least level 12, counting runes (higher than 12 is okay, but 12 is a minimum to get 100% of the weapon's rated damage)

Your level doesn't matter as long as your have the right amount of attribute points.
